One price, and everything is on it

You pay for the people in it, once a month, and that is the whole of the pricing. There is no plan above this one and nothing to unlock later.

14 days free. No card, no sales call.

€1$1 per person, per month

What you are charged for

The people who are in it. At the start of each month we count them, and that month is charged at that count.

Everybody who is not archived
Owners, admins, approvers and everybody else, counted the same. Archive somebody who has left and they are not in the next month's count.
Counted once, at the start of each month
Somebody who joins during a month is first counted in the next one. Nothing is split across part of a month.
Billed monthly, for the month behind you
Every month gets its own invoice as soon as it closes, with the head count it was charged for on the line. You can open any of them as a PDF.
No tiers and no minimum
Eight people cost eight. Growing to sixty crosses nothing, so your bill goes up by what you hired and never by a step.

Prices exclude VAT. We are based in the Netherlands, so a business elsewhere in the EU with a valid VAT number is reverse charged and pays no VAT to us. You pay by card, and you can stop whenever you like.

Everything, on the one price

This is the product. All of it is on the one price, for everybody in your company, and there is nothing on this list you switch on by paying more.

Everything Shoreleave does, by the part of the product it belongs to.
What you get What it does
Asking for time off
Book by picking two dates It counts the working days and says what they cost and what they leave you.
Half days The morning or the afternoon, at either end of a run or on a single day.
The reasons, not only the number A weekend, a public holiday or a day you do not work is named on the request.
Who else is off those days Your team or the whole company, answered before you send it.
Across the turn of your leave year A request running from December into January charges each year its own share.
Sickness with no end date Recorded the morning somebody calls in, counted up to today, closed when they are back.
Recorded for somebody else Whoever answers for a person can book it for them, and it arrives approved.
Days or hours Count leave in whole hours instead, with a length for each person's working day.
Answering
One queue, longest wait first Everything waiting on you in one place, with nothing to go and look up.
What saying yes leaves them On the row, so the decision and the balance are in front of you together.
Cards, columns or a table The same queue three ways. On the columns you drag a request across to answer it.
A page for one request Every fact about it, what those days cost, and who else is away then.
A reason on a decline Asked for before it is sent, and it goes back to the person who asked.
Nobody answers their own It goes to the others who answer for that team, and to the admins after them.
As many approvers as a team needs Name one, name four, or name nobody and let the owners and admins answer.
Absences get seen Sickness nobody had to approve waits on the queue until somebody says they have read it.
Cancelling, both ways Before it starts by the person, and afterwards by whoever answers for them.
An email at each step Asked, recorded, approved, declined and cancelled, each with one button that opens the request.
Seeing who is away
The wallchart A row for each person and the days across the top, five weeks or a whole month.
Grouped by team, yours first With a filter, so a manager can read their own team on its own.
Only the days leave actually costs A part-timer's day off in the middle of a week is not shown as leave.
Weekends, holidays and closures shaded Shaded in, so what stands out on a row is somebody being away.
The detail behind every day Whose row, which day, what the day is called, and the dates the leave was asked for.
The chart on a wall Full screen on a television, redrawn every few minutes, and right again at midnight.
Safe to leave on a wall Lock it and that screen stops being signed in. Your password puts it back.
Why somebody is away, if you want it shown The kind of leave is on the chart for everybody, or only for the people who answer for them.
Requests nobody has answered yet Hidden until they are approved, shown as a day away, or marked as waiting. You choose.
Allowances and balances
Always up to date Change anything and every figure on every screen is right the next time somebody looks.
An allowance per company and per person One default for everybody, and a different number on anybody who is on one.
Pro rata for a joiner Their share of the year, to the nearest half day.
Days asked for are held So nobody spends a day twice while they are waiting for an answer.
Carry-over Nothing, up to a number of days, or everything, expiring months into the new year or never.
Check carry-over before it happens Every person's figures are listed first, and you can change any of them before you confirm.
Adjustments with a reason on each Days on or off one leave year for lieu, bought days or a correction.
Days a rule earns A year with little sickness can earn days in the next one, and long service earns them too.
Built up through the year An allowance that arrives day by day instead of whole in January.
A leave year that starts when yours does January, April or any other month.
The days each person works Set for each person. A four-day week is counted right on the chart, in the balance and in every report.
Kinds of leave
Five to start with Annual, sickness, unpaid, parental and other. Keep the ones you use.
Your own kinds Add the ones your trade has, in your own words, and they are called that everywhere.
Set up each kind your way Its name, icon and color, what it comes off, whether it needs approving, and who can book it.
An allowance for each kind Three volunteering days or two study days, for everybody or per person.
Twelve shapes and any color So a chart tells study leave from compassionate leave without anybody reading a word.

Starting, and stopping

Try it for 14 days
Everything switched on, no card, and nobody will call you. Bring your people in and book real leave on it.
Add a card when you are sure
On your plan page, whenever you like during the 14 days. Your first invoice covers only the days after your trial ends.
Your records stay readable
If you stop paying, booking and approving stop. The wallchart, the balances, the reports and the exports do not, so your company can always read its own leave.

Questions people ask before they start

What counts as a person?

Everybody in your company who is not archived, whatever their role. Somebody who never books a day still counts, because they are on the chart and in the reports. Archive a leaver and they are not counted from the next month.

Do I need a card to try it?

No. The 14 days need nothing but an email address, and everything is switched on for all of them. You add a card when you decide to stay.

What happens when the trial ends?

If you have added a card you carry on, and your first invoice covers the days from the end of the trial. If you have not, the account goes on hold: booking and approving stop, and the wallchart, the balances and the reports stay readable.

Can I cancel?

Yes, on your plan page, whenever you like. You get one last invoice for the days since the previous one and nothing after that. Leave that is already booked stands, and everybody can still read the chart and their balance.

Is there a minimum?

No. A company of eight pays for eight. There is no floor and no smallest plan to buy.

What happens when we hire somebody?

They are counted from the start of the next month. Nothing is split across part of a month, either way.

Does the price change as we grow?

The rate does not. You pay for the head count each month, so the bill moves by the people you hired and never by a step, and there is no tier to cross.

Is VAT included?

No, prices exclude VAT. We are based in the Netherlands, so a business elsewhere in the EU with a valid VAT number is reverse charged and pays no VAT to us. A business outside the EU is charged no VAT.

How do we pay?

By card, added through Mollie, our payment provider. Each month is taken from it automatically once the month closes, and every invoice is on your plan page as a PDF.

Can we get our data out?

Yes. All three reports save as a CSV at any time, including while an account is on hold, and there is a calendar link you can subscribe to.

Where is our data kept, and is it GDPR compliant?

In Amsterdam, inside the European Union. Shoreleave is built for the GDPR: your company decides what is recorded and we only process it on your behalf. Names and email addresses are encrypted before they are stored, everything travels over an encrypted connection, and there is no tracking, no advertising and no cookie anywhere in the product.

Do we have to use Slack, Teams or single sign-on?

No. They are on the price if you want them, and the product is complete without any of them. Everything works with an email address and a password.

How long does setting up take?

A few minutes. You give your company's name and country when you sign up, then answer a few questions: whether you count leave in days or hours, when your leave year starts, what a new person gets, and how people sign in. Your country's public holidays are on the chart from the moment you pick a country.
